Within the framework of the program organized by Central Asian Research Center, the International Relations Department of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Kyrgyz-Turkish "Manas"University  and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan On April 24th, 2024, Khurshid Mirzakhidov, Ambassador Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan, presented a wide-ranging seminar titled  “Uzbekistan's foreign policy and Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations” for the students of our University.

 Mr. Ambassador in his extended report noted the constant development of multi-sectoral relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Ambassador Khurshid Mirzakhidov gave information about the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad and the Kambar-Ata-1 hydroelectric power plant (HPP), which were planned to be realized jointly by the two countries in recent years. The ambassador also said that the trade turnover between the two countries will reach 2 billion dollars in the coming years.

In addition, Khurshid Mirzakhidov emphasized that Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund has been established between the two countries and cooperation between the parliaments in tourism, agriculture, industry, trade, medicine and culture is actively developing.

After the presentation, the students-participants of the event asked the ambassador their questions. At the end of the seminar, Khurshid Mirzakhidov said that this seminar was very productive and that he is always ready to participate in such activities.
