Central Asia Research Center operating under the Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University held a seminar.

The guest of Center’s seminar series on February 14, 2018 was Alexander Wolters - the Director of the Bishkek Academy of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

Seminar started with the opening speech of Center’s President Assoc. Dr. Yunus Emre Gürbüz who introduced the subject and speaker.

Speaker Dr. Alexander Wolters gave an introduction to the English language "A Generation, A Road Project and Kyrgyzstan" on the route fr

om China to Kyrgyzstan to Europe. Alexander Wolters, who said that China allocates resources in very high quantities measured in billion dollars, is presented as a new project starting in 2016 and said infrastructure investments are actually being made by China much earlier in Central Asia. Wolters said that the railway line is an important part of the project, but the project also includes investments in different sectors such as agriculture and energy.

The guest speaker, Dr. Alexander Wolters, in his presentation, entitled as” One Generation, One Road and Kyrgyzstan” in English languages,  gave information regarding the road routes that extend from China,  through Kyrgyzstan to Europe,  Alexander Wolters, stated that China is allocating abundant resources in billions of dollars. He also mentioned that although this project is presented as new, the infrastructure investments by China in Kyrgyzstan had begun much earlier. By the end of the presentation, he answered questions of the students who attended his presentation.
