The Baku port plans to transport up to 2 million tons of oil from Central Asia by the end of 2023.
This was told to Report by Head of Strategic Planning and Development Department of Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC Khudayar Hasanli.
According to him, it is twice as much as in the previous year. "Oil of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan is transported through Azerbaijan to western countries," Hasanli noted.
Cargo turnover of Baku port in 2022 amounted to 6 million 314 thousand tons, which is 13.6% more than in 2021. It is expected that this indicator will be more than 7 million tons by the end of 2023.
