As First Vice Minister for Investments and Development Roman Sklyar noted, the level of engineering is an indicator of the technological development of the entire national industry. "As we know, engineering is one of the most complex and differentiated industries. Perhaps, therefore, mechanical engineering is most sensitive to state regulation measures. Despite the high level of competition, the engineering industry looks with optimism for the future, having tangible measures of support from the state,"Sklyar said at a press conference in the press center of the Government.
According to the ministry, the results of eight months of 2018 showed that the output of machine-building reached more than 638.1 billion tenge($1.7 billion), production growth -13.8%.
The automotive industry demonstrated the greatest dynamics of growth among machine building industries. Over 8 months of 2018, more than 19 000 cars worth 117.7 billion tenge ($ 318.1 million) were produced, which was 1.6 times more than in the same period 2017.
