National Economy Minister of Kazakhstan Ruslan Dalenov said that the country’s oil production would rise to 90 million tons next year and 100 million tons in 2024.

Dalenov announced oil production forecasts in 2020-2024 at the Council of Ministers meeting, that 90 million oil would be produced in Kazakhstan the upcoming year, that figure in 2024 would increase to 100 million tons by large oil wells of Tengiz, Karazhaganak and Kashagan.

Gross domestic product (GDP) was expected to be 75 trillion tenge ($ 194 billion) in 2020, Dalenov noted that the figure would rise to 106 trillion tenge ($ 275 billion) in 2024.

The forecast also stated, “Per capita GDP will be 10.5 thousand dollars in 2020, this figure will rise to 14.3 thousand dollars in 2024. Annual inflation target corridor in the years 2020-2021 will be between 4-6 percent and 3-5 percent in 2024”.
