Turkey and Kazakhstan have all chances to expand trade and economic cooperation and bring the trade turnover to the level of four billion dollars.

This was stated by the Chairman of  Board of the Ankara Chamber of Industry NurettinÖzdebir at a video conference on "Investment Opportunities in Kazakhstan", organized jointly with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ankara and the national investment Agency Kazakh Invest.

Özdemir stressed that Turkey is ready to comprehensive development and deepening of cooperation with friendly and brotherly Kazakhstan.

According to him, there is every opportunity to expand the volume of Turkish investments in the oil and gas sector, mining, construction and industry in Kazakhstan. "The volume of trade between the two countries is currently 3 billion dollars. This is certainly insufficient and far from the potential of our countries, " the Chairman of the Chamber said.

Özdebir recalled that the Ankara Chamber of Industry, in cooperation with the authorities of the South Kazakhstan region, established an Organized industrial zone in Shymkent.

"The activities of the industrial zone from the first days aroused great interest among Turkish investors. Entrepreneurs are satisfied with the conditions created. The Ankara Chamber of Industry is ready to make every effort to further develop cooperation with Kazakhstan," he said.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Ankara AbzalSaparbekuly called Turkey an important strategic partner of Kazakhstan.

The diplomat noted that today up to 2.5 thousand Turkish companies are involved in various sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan.

"Kazakhstan is a window to the markets of China, Russia and Central Asia. Currently, new projects are being prepared for implementation, which will bring the trade turnover to $ 4 billion by 2021. We invite Turkish businessmen to our country. Take advantage of the favorable investment opportunities of our country, " the head of the diplomatic mission said.
