Turkey provided assistance to Kyrgyzstan in fighting the spread of a new type of coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

Turkish Airlines flight 777-300 ER with humanitarian cargo landed at Bishkek airport on Wednesday, July 15.

At Manas International Airport, the medical aid cargo was received by high-ranking officials in Kyrgyzstan: Deputy Prime Minister Aida Ismailova, Adviser of Minister of Health KalysbekShadykhanov, Turkish Ambassador to Bishkek CengizKamilFirat, the military attaché of the Embassy Colonel Mehmet Fatih Tash, and the head of the structural unit of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs ErmekOmuraliev, who isresponsible for promoting economic diplomacy.

The aid package was collected by the Turkish Ministry of Health on behalf of President RecepTayyip Erdogan.

The words of famous medieval thinker Jelalludin Rumiwere written on each box with the aid: “So much hope after hopelessness. So much sun after darkness.”

The cargo included 20 ventilators, 50 oxygen concentrators, 50 thousand N95 type masks, 100 thousand medical masks, 35 thousand protective suits, two thousand medical protective visors, 20 thousand PCR tests, 20 thousand sets for the extraction of nucleic acid and 10 thousand packages of hydroxychloroquine pills.

Deputy Prime Minister Aida Ismailova expressed her gratitude to Turkey on behalf of the government and nation of Kyrgyzstan for humanitarian assistance.
