Kyrgyzstan's Ambassador to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with Chief Advisor of Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktay Halil Afsharat, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the 10th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation (IGC) and a business forum to be held in Cholpon Ata on Aug. 6-7, 2021.

Ambassador Omuraliyev noted the importance of thorough preparation of the outcome documents of the IGC in view of the objectives set in the Joint Statement of Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, and the outcome of the 5th meeting of the Supreme Council for Strategic Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on June 9, 2021 in Ankara.

The ambassador and the advisor stressed the need for investment by Turkish entrepreneurs in the fields of energy, mining, agriculture in Kyrgyzstan, and also agreed on the participation of entrepreneurs of the two countries in the Business Forum and B2B meetings, during which the parties will make presentations on investment opportunities of Kyrgyzstan and the companies represented.
