The opening ceremony of a photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of Kyrgyzstan took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the photo exhibition was organized to promote Kyrgyzstan, its historical and cultural values ​​and tourism. In turn, the organizers were the Kyrgyz Embassy in Ankara with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Turkey.

The exhibition featured 61 paintings, which depicted historical sights, landscapes of the country, national sports, reflecting the ancient history, rich culture, picturesque nature and traditional life of Kyrgyzstan, the report said.

It is noted that in his speech, Kyrgyz Ambassador to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev drew attention to the fact that the Kyrgyz people and the country have more than 2300 years of history. "This year marks the 30th anniversary of not only the independence of Kyrgyzstan, but also the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries,” he stressed.

The ambassador also indicated that Kyrgyzstan intends to consistently promote democratic reforms, strengthen the rule of law, protection and promotion of human rights, and remains fully committed to all its international obligations and strictly abides by all previously signed bilateral and multilateral treaties and agreements.

In turn, Deputy Foreign Minister Yavuz Selim Kyran, speaking at the opening of the photo exhibition, noted that Turkey was the first country to recognize the independence of Kyrgyzstan.

“I would especially like to note the importance of further strengthening the existing close cooperation between the countries in all areas,” he said.

The photo exhibition at the Turkish Foreign Ministry will last until July 13, 2021.

A similar photo exhibition was previously opened in the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Turkey with the participation of the heads of two states during the official visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Turkey and the Turkish parliament with the participation of the vice speaker of the Kyrgyz Republic.
