An agreement was signed between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan in order to develop and deepen mutual relations in the field of industry and technology. The agreement was signed by Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank and Minister of Energy and Industry of Kyrgyzstan Doskul Bekmurzaev.

During the talks, Varank, recalled about the 30th anniversary of independence of the Kyrgyz Republic, celebrated in August and said that Turkey is the first country, which recognized this independence.

Stating that they have been working to strengthen relations with Kyrgyzstan and increase mutual economic interests since that day, Varank said, "I believe that we will carry the two countries to much further points in the field of industry and technology, which is the basis of development, with the meetings and signatures signed today."

Expressing that they have deepened and advanced relations in many fields such as politics, economy, trade, industry, health, agriculture, culture and youth-sports in 30 years, Varank noted that they have become strategic allies thanks to the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council they formed in 2011.

The Minister said that thanks to this agreement, an important step has been taken in strengthening trade and economic relations, as well as in the direction of increasing the volume of bilateral trade.

Varank stated that they want to carry Turkey's industrial experience to Kyrgyzstan as a continuation of this agreement and said that they will start working to establish an Organized Industrial Zone in Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan Minister of Energy and Industry Doskul Bekmurzaev thanked Minister Varank for his support in the Organized Industrial Zone, which will transfer technology and knowledge to Kyrgyzstan in order to benefit from Turkey's experience.

With the memorandum of understanding, it is aimed to develop and deepen mutual relations in the field of industry. On the other hand, it is aimed that Turkey will support the Organized Industrial Zone to be established in Kyrgyzstan in areas such as legislation, knowledge and experience.
