A number of high-level foreign policy events will be held in the near future in Kyrgyzstan, Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Erlan Abdyldaev told reporters at Kabar Agency.

He said that foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries are expected to arrive in Kyrgyzstan in summer and heads of state of the Turkic-speaking countries will visit the country in the fall.

"Summer will be very active in the foreign policy. We have planned a number of events at the level of both the president and the government, the ministry of foreign affairs and other departments," said Abdyldaev.

According to preliminary data, the Minister said that a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries will take place in June this year, and by the beginning of August the Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Svaraj is scheduled to visit Kyrgyzstan. The summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries will be held in early September after the opening of the Third World Nomad Games.

In addition, as the Foreign Minister said, an invitation was sent from President Sooronbay Jeenbekov to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to visit Kyrgyzstan, and a positive response was received. However, the date is not known yet, Abdyldaev said.
