President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov arrived in Bishkek from Qingdao, China, on June 10, where he attended the 18th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. As a result of the summit, a number of joint documents were signed, including the Qingdao Declaration.

The presidency in the SCO moved to Kyrgyzstan from the People's Republic of China. The next SCO summit will be held in 2019 in Bishkek.

Jeenbekov on the margins of the SCO Summit in Qingdao met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Mongolian President Hultmaagiin Battulga and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Upon completion of the visit, before the flight to Bishkek, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov on board talked with reporters who accompanied his visit to China. He thanked the media representatives for their substantive and operational work, noting that his state visit to the People’s Republic of China is of great importance for Kyrgyzstan.

"I am satisfied with the outcome of the visit. In 2019, all of us together with will meet the participants of the SCO Summit in Bishkek," Jeenbekov said, recalling that the SCO chairmanship moved from China to Kyrgyzstan.
