More than ten protocols of intent and investment contracts totaling more than four billion euros were signed on the German-Uzbek business forum held in Berlin on January 14. This figure was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the State Investment Committee, Sukhrob Holmuradov.

According to representatives of the business circles of Germany, the interest of German investors to Uzbekistan increased sharply after the new president of Uzbekistan, Shafkat Mirziyev, who was elected to this post in 2016 after the death of Islam Karimov, began to carry out large-scale reforms.

The Eastern Committee of the German economy, working in the markets of Eastern European and Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan, is very positive about the reforms of the new president.
