On January 18th, within the framework of the Dynamic Gujarat international summit in the city of Gandinagar, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi.

During the meeting, issues of practical implementation of the

signed agreements on the results of the state visit were reviewed.

 Intensification of interaction in all directions for the past period after the visit was underlined.

On January 13, 2019, the first meeting of the foreign ministers of the India-Central Asia Dialogue with the participation of Afghanistan was successfully held in Samarkand.

A joint Center for the Development of Entrepreneurship began its work in the field of trade and economic cooperation in Tashkent.

The day before, the first meeting of the Uzbek-Indian Business Council was held in Gujarat.

A technopark of advanced information technologies in Tashkent and a pharmaceutical zone in the Andijan region are being created jointly with Indian partners.

An agreement was reached with the Eximbank of India to allocate a preferential credit line in the amount of 200 million dollar to finance socially significant projects in Uzbekistan.

From the new academic year in Uzbekistan, branches of leading universities in India Amity and Shard universities will open their doors.

Special attention is paid to the further expansion of cultural and humanitarian exchange.

At the end of the meeting, a ceremony was held to exchange the text of the signed agreement on long-term uranium supplies to India.
