The electric bus made in the state of Belarus was purchased by the city Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

These vehicles are reported to have more beneficial features than trolleybuses and gasoline buses. According to local news agencies, the technical tests of the purchased electric buses had started. In this context, charging stations were built in two different parts of the city. In the near future, these new vehicles are planned to be offered to the public use. A special commission will check the operation of these new vehicles in the local hot climate and whether they are comfortable for the passengers. Belarusian Belkommunmash plant is the first factory producing electric buses in CIS member states. The factory also produces trolleybus and tramway wagons.
