The meeting was held at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade with a delegation of Turkish State Railways JSC, headed by Director General E. Arykan.
At the meeting, topical issues related to the development of transport between the two countries were discussed, because of increasing volume of trade and the growing activity of the business sector in the country.
The parties discussed the establishment of multimodal transportation along the route of Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China. The importance of taking comprehensive measures to develop the international transport system was noted, which will have a significant impact on the growth of the economies of the participating countries.
They also considered proposals to organize an Uzbek-Turkish business forum, where entrepreneurs of the two countries could effectively exchange information, establish a network, and work on the implementation of new projects. The close cooperation agreements were reached.
