Uzbekistan and China plan to increase mutual flights to 15 flights per week.

According to information received from the sng.today news site, a meeting was held in Beijing on 05.11.19 between the representatives of the aviation authorities of the two countries. The parties have agreed to open new flights from Uzbekistan to the cities of Shian, Sanya, Yiwu and Chengdu in China and start work on technical works. The meeting also discussed the flights of Uzbekistan Airways to Beijing Daxing International Airport.

Today, direct flights to Uzbekistan are from Beijing, Urumqi, Shanghai, Guanco and Tianjin. In addition, at the end of September of this year, the Chinese Zhejang Loong Airline launched a direct flight between Tashkent and Shian.

It is known that Uzbekistan Airways has a fleet of Airbus A320, Airbus A320neo, Boeing 757, Boeing 767 and Boeing 787-8.

By Ilhom Mahkamov, Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, reported that small aircraft with a capacity of 70-90 people for domestic flights would be taken. It is planned to add 38 more aircraft to Uzbekistan Airways fleet by 2025.
