Uzbekistan will resume accepting foreign tourists at the same time as Turkey.

This was stated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a video conference on June 3. "The countries that will open their borders for us, we will also be ready to open. We will send our planes immediately. We are negotiating it with Turkey. As soon as they restart the foreign tourism, we will do the same," the president stated. Domestic tourism has been resumed in Uzbekistan since June 1. At the same time, it is necessary to develop international tourism, the President added.

 Mirziyoyev also stressed that about 50 regions and cities in the country remain as "red" and "yellow" zones of quarantine. The head of state also gave instructions to ease the quarantine requirements and keep the remaining measures strict (a number of work activities are allowed to resume from June 5 and June 15). "We must learn to work and live under such conditions. Because there is no other way. The new method of work should comprise 50% - quarantine, 50% - economic activity, " he said.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister-Chairman of the State Committee for Development of Tourism of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov spoke about the plans to resume international air traffic by introducing a system of "red," "yellow" and "green" flights.
