Construction of Yunusabadand Turkiston metro stations on the Yunusabadmetro line has been completed in Tashkent, Trend reports, citing Uzbekistan Railways.

The 2.9-kilometer-long stations were completed and connected to the Shahristan station, and the trains have already been tested, the report said.

It is reported that the total cost of the object is 103.8 million dollars.

"Yunusabad district is one of the most densely populated districts of Tashkent, so in August 2001, the first stage of the Yunusabadmetro line was launched in the district, consisting of six stations with a length of 7.6 kilometers,” the report says.

In February, the construction of six elevated stations on the Dustlik – Kuylyuk section of the metro ring line was completed. It is planned that the metro line in the future will connect Tashkent and the Tashkent region center – the city Nurafshan.
