In the period from January to June of this year, the total volume of foreign investment in Uzbekistan amounted to 4.8 billion US dollars, including foreign direct investment – 3.2 billion dollars and foreign loans under state guarantee – 1.6 billion dollars.

This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of investment and foreign trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the volume of foreign direct investment in fixed assets amounted to 2.6 billion US dollars with a growth rate of 1.2 times compared to the same indicator in 2019. The share of foreign direct investment in the total investment volume increased to 29.5%.

During this time, 494 projects were put into operation - 28 large industrial enterprises and 466 industrial facilities of regional significance.

Russia, China, Germany and Turkey became the leaders in attracting investment to the economy of Uzbekistan, and the total number of countries investing in the country's economy was 37.
