Turkey will donate 200,000 doses of Sinovac coronavirus vaccine to Uzbekistan. The related news took place on the official web page of Gazeta.Uz news site on 11 October.

According to the information received from Dunyo news agency, the agreement was signed by Alişer Agzamhodcayev, Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Turkey, and Halil Eldemir, Deputy Minister of Health of Turkey.

Sinovac vaccine is currently one of the most widely used vaccines in Uzbekistan. An agreement was signed between the governments of the two countries on the provision of free health care. As part of the agreement, Turkey sent 200,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine as well as 20,000 boxes of Favipiravir (200 mg / 40 tablets) to Uzbekistan.

In the report, it was stated that the shipment of vaccines and drugs is an indication of Turkey's friendship and goodwill towards Uzbekistan.

Today, AstraZeneca, ZF-UZ-VAC2001, Sputnik V, Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines are used against coronavirus in Uzbekistan. A total of 22,433,729 doses of vaccine have been used in the country to date. More than 5.1 million people are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
