In the Navoi region, 2.2 thousand investment projects worth 9 billion dollars are planned to be implemented in the next five years and 75 thousand new employment areas are planned to be created. The news was reported by the press service of the Presidency of Uzbekistan.
It is planned to create a gas chemical cluster worth $3.4 billion and commissioning seven power plants worth approximately $3 billion.
As a result of the implementation of 120 large-scale projects in the textile sector, 27 thousand new employment opportunities will be created in the leather and footwear sector, and 13 thousand new employment opportunities will be created. It is planned to implement 52 projects that will employ more than 7 thousand people in the mining sector.
As a result of the production that will start in the next five years, the regional export volume is expected to increase by six times, or $900 million.
In addition, it is planned to create 70 thousand new employment areas by supporting entrepreneurship. For this purpose, a deputy governor will be appointed to each region, and public organization and financial support will be provided. More than 500 billion sums will be allocated annually within the framework of family entrepreneurship programs.
In the next five years, 40 trillion sum will be allocated from the state budget for the economic and social development of the Navoi region, and a total of 180 thousand new employment areas will be created.
