In Tajikistan, 61 new businesses have started operating in four months of this year, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Friday.

“During this period, 61 new enterprises were commissioned, at which 980 people were employed. More than 20 of these enterprises are at the Sogd region. 19 enterprises are in the Khatlon region, 10 of them are in the capital,”- the Ministry of Industry and Innovative Technology of the country reports.
Between January-April of this year, these new enterprises manufactured products worth 203 million Somoni ($ 19.7 million), the agency said.
In general, 2204 industrial enterprises were registered in the republic at the beginning of May of this year. According to the Ministry of Industry, this figure is for 7% or 143 enterprises more than in January-April of 2019.
