In the first quarter of 2020, the revenues of private Telecom operators in Tajikistan increased by 13.2%, the Avesta Agency reports, referring to the Communications Service under the government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

During this period, they earned about 614 million somoni (60 million US dollars), which is more for 72 million somoni than in the first quarter of 2019. The revenues of the national Telecom operator (Tajiktelecom), SUE (State Unitary Enterprise) Pochtai Tojik and communication service divisions also increased by 8.5% – from 40 million somoni for January – March period of 2019 to 43.4 million somoni for the same period in 2020. The share of private operators in the market of communication services is 93.4%.
On April 1 of this year, the number of internet users in Tajikistan was about 3.2 million, and the number of mobile communication users was almost 6.1 million, about 5.3 million of which are active subscribers.
In Tajikistan, four operators occupy the dominant positions in the mobile communication market: CJSC “Indigo Tajikistan” (Tcell), CJSC “TT-mobile” (MegaFon Tajikistan), CJSC “Babylon Mobile” and LLC “Takom” (ZetMobile, former- Beeline)
