Tajikistan's main export partners are Switzerland, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. This is reported by the Tajik publishing house "Avesta" with reference to the Ministry of Economic and Trade Development of the Republic.

As for exports of goods, Switzerland accounts for 50.8% of the total amount.

The export to Turkey is 15.4%. These countries mainly export non-ferrous metallurgy products – primary aluminum and cotton fiber.

In total, between January and May of 2020, the total amount of exports of goods to Switzerland reached more than $303.7 million, while the amount of imports for this period reached more than $2.4 million. The volume of trade turnover with Turkey in the reporting period amounted to more than $140.5 million. More than $92 million of that amount was exported goods and more than $48.4 million was imported products.

The significant excess of exports over imports in trade operations with Switzerland is $301.3 million. However, Russia occupies the first placein terms of the total volume of trade with foreign countries. The trade turnover between Tajikistan and Russia from January to May, in 2020 amounted to more than $420.9 million. The list of main exported goods includes: primary aluminum, cotton fiber, precious metals and dried fruits.

Imports of goods to Tajikistan were from Russia-31.9% of total imports, Kazakhstan- 24.7% and China-13.7%. Between January and May of this year, the amount of exports of goods reached $598.4 million, and imports amounted to more than $1 billion 273.5 million.
