On March 14, the largest city hospital in Europe was opened in Ankara.

Daily Sabah reports that the opening ceremony was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Health Minister Fahrettin Koji, ambassadors and representatives of 45 foreign countries. There are 3,704 beds in the Bilkent hospital complex, 904 cabinets, an intensive care unit for 674 beds and 131 surgeries, where more than 600  operations can be performed daily.

According to the Minister of Health of the Republic, Fakhrettin Kouji, the Bilkent hospital will become the largest complex in Europe. He also stressed that when creating the complex, particular attention was paid to the introduction of the latest technologies used in laboratory studies and surgical departments of the new hospital.
