Akim of Zhambyl region Nurzhan Nurzhigitov held a meeting of the investment headquarters in the front office of "Government for Business", the press service of the akimat of the region reports.
The Turkish company Göknur Gıda is implementing a major project in the Zhambyl region for the laying of intensive gardens, as well as the processing of fruits and vegetables. Investors plan to sell the products produced in the region both on the Kazakh market and abroad. The cost of the project is estimated at over $200 million.
- Zhambyl region has a high agricultural potential. For example, the region is the leader in the republic in the production of onions. Zhambyl farmers have harvested more than one million tons of onions. There are all opportunities for the implementation of major investment projects, including in the processing industry," Nurzhan Nurzhigitov said.
Göknur Gıda, founded in 1993, is the largest company producing fruit and vegetable concentrates in Turkey. The company has 2,500 hectares of its own orchards, 5 production facilities, fruit storage warehouses in Turkey, the USA, Europe and China.
