The opening ceremony of a new road bridge over the Tejen river took place at the Sarakhs-Sarakhs checkpoint near the Turkmen-Iranian border, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

The new road bridge is 96 meters long and 15.1 meters wide.
A Turkmen-Iranian video conference was held in honor of the opening of the bridge. The Turkmen side was headed by the Minister of construction and architecture of Turkmenistan, as well as the khyakim of the Akhal velayat. The Iranian delegation was headed by the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Governor of Khorasan-e-Razavi province.
The sides stressed the importance of opening a new road bridge in the context of further development of Turkmen-Iranian relations, the importance of enhancing cooperation in trade, economic, transport and other spheres of activity.
