Russia imported gas worth$300 million from Turkmenistan in 2019. This is reported by Reuters, referring to the Russian Ambassador to Ashgabat Alexander Blokhin.

This message disclosed data on the gas price specified in the contract signed by Russia and Turkmenistan last year. In July 2019, Turkmenistan signed a 5-year gas supply agreement with Russia. Under the agreement, Russia will purchase 5.5 billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas annually.

In 2019, from April to June, Russia bought 1.1 billion cubic meters of gas under a short-term agreement with Turkmenistan.

China remains the main consumer of Turkmenistan's gas. It is a rich country for energy sources. But due to the coronavirus pandemic, China declared force majeure in early March and reduced the import of Turkmen gas.
