A roundtable titled “Strengthening Regional Unity: The Role of the Organization of Turkic States in Central Asia and Beyond” was held at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University on November 4, 2024.

The event took place in the Rectorate Conference Hall and was organized by the Turkic World Strategic Research Center of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University together with the Haydar Aliyev Center for Eurasian Studies of Ibn Khaldun University in anticipation of the upcoming 11th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, scheduled for November 6 in Bishkek.

Manas University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan and Deputy Rector, Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev made an opening speech at the meeting. Participants included Deputy Rector, Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev; Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov; Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Aynur Corobekova from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic; Faculty Member Dr. Shairbek Dzhuraev from the OSCE Academy; Director of the Haydar Aliyev Center for Eurasian Studies at Ibn Khaldun University, Prof. Dr. Yaşar Sarı; and Dr. Najiba Mustafayeva, also from Ibn Khaldun University.

Discussions centered around the Organization of Turkic States’ growing influence in Central Asia and beyond, along with strategies to strengthen cooperation across the Turkic world. The event concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, marked by productive and insightful scientific discussions among the participants. To express gratitude, Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to the speakers, and the meeting ended with a group photo.
