Uzbekistan's Ministry of Health has engaged a team of seven Turkish experts to support the large-scale transformation of the country’s healthcare system.

The experts are working across seven key areas: improving primary healthcare, implementing medical insurance and digitalization, enhancing hospital efficiency, planning medical services, advancing the pharmaceutical sector and drug supply, optimizing the use of medical equipment, and developing emergency medical services.

The team is led by Dr. Hasan Cagil, a seasoned professional with extensive experience in transforming Turkey’s healthcare system.

Dr. Cagil, along with other experts—Mehmet Ugurlu, Talgan Kucuk, Muhammet Yörnek, Mehmet Ersoy, Hasan Bagci, and Mehmut Avci—is conducting an in-depth analysis of Uzbekistan’s medical facilities at various levels and preparing development recommendations. The findings of their work will serve as the foundation for short-, medium-, and long-term plans to reform Uzbekistan’s healthcare system.
