The press service of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan reported that for 5 months of the current year, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Mongolia reached $ 28.8 million, including export of $ 28 million.

Kazakhstan is one of the main suppliers of tobacco products and rapeseed to Mongolia, supplying goods worth more than $ 25 million to this country in 2017 alone. Now, Mongolian companies are interested in importing agricultural products, confectionery and building materials from Kazakhstan. The parties agreed on this during the trade and economic mission in Ulan Bator on October 4.

The Kazakhstan delegation consisted mainly of representatives from the food industry, in particular manufacturers of confectionery and oil and fat products, as well as the construction industry. More than 40 companies participated from the Mongolian side.

The trade turnover between the two countries in 2017 amounted to $ 74.8 million, of which $ 72.5 million dollars - Kazakhstan’s exports to Mongolia. In the five months of this year, trade reached $ 28.8 million, including exports of $ 28 million. In addition to cigarettes and rapeseed, Kazakhstan supplies flour products, hygiene and detergents to Mongolia.

During the mission, the business communities of the two countries discussed promising issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of investment, logistics and trade.
