The plant “Bio operations” was launched in the Taiynsha district of the North Kazakhstan region.

As reported by the press service of the regional akimat(governance), the company produces bioethanol, starch and gluten.

According to regional akim(governor) Kumar Aksakalov, “Bio operations” is one of the strategically important enterprises for the country. The total investment amounted to 11 billion tenge ($ 29.7 million). The annual capacity of the processing plant is 300 thousand tons of grain. Only local raw materials are used for production.

“This is a unique enterprise. It should be emphasized that there are only a few such plants in the world. 400 people which will work here, are all locals. In a short time, they will launch a meat processing plant, which has no analogues in Central Asia. The capacity of meat-processing plant is 15 thousand tons of meat per year. In the future, 1,000 people will be employed there. In addition, annual tax revenues to the regional budget will amount to 100 million tenge ,” he noted.

Currently it is running a workshop for production of gluten and starch. The next stage: the production of bioethanol, which increases the octane number of gasoline and makes it environmentally friendly. Negotiations are underway with Kazakhstan’s refineries to supply bioethanol.

It is noted that if earlier starch, gluten and bioethanol were imported, now the North Kazakhstan plant covers all the needs of the republic. Also, the products of the plant will be exported to Europe and Central Asia.
