The Turkish company Biotrend Energy, the leading agricultural processor in its country, expressed its intention to invest in the Turkestan region. Representatives of the company intend to build a plant to generate electricity from cotton waste, said on Thursday, December 13, the site of the regional akimat.

A delegation of entrepreneurs from the Republic of Turkey headed by the chairman of the board of the company "Biotrend energy" Murat Aslan visited the region, the akim press service reports.

According to Turkish investors, about 3 tons of cotton waste remain from 1 ha of cotton, from which 30-40 MW of electricity can be produced. "The head of the delegation requested to provide the necessary support in terms of the allocation of land plots and paperwork," the akimat said in a statement.

In response, the first deputy akim of the region, Kairat Nukenov, said that all relevant support would be provided to investors, the release said. Energy company Biotrend was founded in 2012. The main goal is the production of clean energy in accordance with international standards.
