According to the statement made by Kazakhstan Energy Minister Magzum Mirzagaliyev at the government meeting, oil and condensate production volume in 8 months of this year was 56.1 million tons (99.3% of the plan). The relevant news was published on the official website of Kapital.kz on September 14, 2021.

“There is a partial non-fulfillment of the plan for the reporting period. There is a lag in the Karachaganak project - this is due to the limited intake of gas in connection with the repair work, ”the minister said. According to him, 17.1 million tons of oil were produced at Tengiz for the specified period, which is 100% of the plan of the reporting month. The volume of oil production at Kashagan is 10.2 million tons - 102% of the plan.

The indicators of the Karachaganak project are 7.8 million tons, compared with the plan of the current year there is a 7% backlog. “During the reporting period, 44 million tons of oil were exported, the plan for 8 months was fulfilled by 100%. Speaking of gas, 35.5 billion cubic meters of gas were produced during the reporting period, which is 98% of the planned figure for the current year. The decrease in the volume of gas production is directly related to the decrease in the volume of oil production, since the gas produced during oil production is associated gas. The volume of domestic consumption of commercial gas amounted to 11.6 billion cubic meters. This figure has grown by 12%, ”the minister stated.
