In the city of Kapshagai, Almaty region, the 4th stage of a greenhouse complex for growing tomatoes was opened. Greenhouse area is 4 hectares. The correspondent of the business information center Kapital.kz reports with reference to the press service of the akimat that the project attracted 3.5 billion tenge of investments.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, akim of Kapshagai Nurlan Kumataev noted that the volume of industrial production in the city reached 107.4 billion tenge. Today, there are 325 farms in the region, the sown area exceeding 13 thousand hectares. The akim said that the volume of gross agricultural output had amounted to 22.6 billion tenge, which was 1 billion tenge more than last year. And today they were opening another important object for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region - the greenhouse complex LSTAgro, in connection with which 3.5 billion tenge of investments had been attracted to the economy of Kapshagai. He was sure that the modern facility would make a significant contribution to providing the population with high-quality domestic agricultural products.
The head of the greenhouse complex, Samat Mukhamedyarov, said that the state program "Business Road Map" became a good support for the launch of the project, thanks to which more than 1 billion tenge was received.
"Since 2013, we have consistently carried out all 4 stages of expansion of the greenhouse complex. Now, about 150 people work at LSTAgro enterprises. In the new complex, built within six months, everything necessary for the favorable growth of tomatoes has been installed, we use drip irrigation techniques, Dutch technologies to improve pollination, Dutch bees have been imported. In January we will start selling tomatoes from a new greenhouse. About 180 tomato bushes are planted in one row. The average yield is 90 tons per hectare. We plan to receive 2-2.5 thousand tons of quality products per year. We grow tomatoes and eggplants in our greenhouses. In general, we provide the local market, Almaty, Nursultan and enter the Russian market. There are export offers to Belarus. Next year we want to start growing cucumbers and pepper "Svetofor", - the entrepreneur shared his plans.
