According to the statement made by Kazakhstan Energy Minister Magzum Mirzagaliyev at a government meeting, by the end of 2021, Kazakhstan's oil production is expected to reach 85.7 million tons and its exports to 67.6 million tons.

According to Magzum Mirzagaliyev, oil production in the country is developing and its volume is estimated to reach 104.2 million tons by 2030.

Magzum Mirzagaliyev: “With the realization of new projects in the future, the planned targets for oil production will be achieved. However, depending on the improvement of production in the Karaçaganak field, oil production will remain between 11-12 million tons per year.

Magzum Mirzagaliev: “The construction of a gas processing plant at the Kashagan field will contribute to oil production in the country. It will be possible to produce 3 billion cubic meters of commercial gas and increase oil production from 16 million tons to 20 million tons per year,” he said.

In addition, Minister Magzum Mirzagaliyev stated that work has begun on a project that will allow the development of the Caspian and Kalamkas-Tengiz fields in the Caspian Sea and the production of 4 million tons of oil per year from 2028.
