Kazakhstan plans to simplify transit for carriers from Uzbekistan. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu after negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov.

Murat Nurtleu noted that the parties discussed issues of interregional cooperation, water and energy complex and other joint projects. The importance of holding interregional cooperation forums was noted.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan noted that initiatives for the construction of new railways, which would increase the transit potential of the two countries, were discussed.

Murat Nurtleu assured that Kazakhstan will continue to work to simplify transit for Uzbek carriers across the border, believing that this is in line with the fundamental interests of both countries.
