Shumkarbek Adilbekuulu, the President of Kyrgyzstan Investment Promotion and Protection Agency said:  "We need investor companies that will implement new technologies and innovations in Kyrgyzstan, open new markets for exports and change the management system in the relevant sector,"

At a press conference organized by Adilbekuulu the agency's duties, activities and work to attract investment in Kyrgyzstan were discussed.

Despite the competition to attract investment in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan is looking for investors who will give maximum added value. Adilbekuulu stated that the processing industry, information technologies, textile and agriculture sector are among the sectors that need to be invested in the country.

"Turkish companies show interest in Kyrgyzstan"

Following the meeting, Adilbekuulu stated that they expect Turkish investors to Kyrgyzstan and added that the first people who came to invest following Kyrgyzstan's independence were Turks.

Adilbekuulu also noted that Turkish companies are now interested in the operation of underground resources and Turkish investors began to be active in this sector.
