A meeting of Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev with Turkish Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Ahmet Sadyk Dogan was held at the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the press service of the ministry, at the meeting the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of health care, issues on the management of the State Hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship.

During the meeting, Ahmet Sadyk Dogan said that Turkey will donate Kyrgyzstan 150 thousand doses of vaccine against coronavirus infection.

“The Turkish government provides tremendous support to Kyrgyzstan in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as in strengthening the material and technical base to improve the quality of medical care for our citizens. The State Hospital of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship with the most modern equipment began to function. We hope that thanks to this, many of our citizens will be able to receive treatment without going abroad. And the decision of the Government of the Republic of Turkey to transfer vaccines for immunization and improve public health in the fight against coronavirus is good news for us. Let me express my gratitude to the friendly Turkish people and the leadership of the Turkish Republic. Each dose of vaccine is one life saved. The help of the fraternal Turkish people is very important and necessary to protect the health of our citizens," said Alymkadyr Beishenaliev.
