Kyrgyzstan Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev met with his Uzbekistani counterpart, Abdulaziz Kamilov, on March 11, as part of the Second Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, according to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry. The Foreign Ministers discussed the prospects of expanding and strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade.

The department heads expressed their readiness to continue working together to make the trade even more dynamic and increase its volume to two billion dollars.

The parties also agreed to hold a regular meeting in Kyrgyzstan in the near future with the Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Presidency of Kyrgyzstan in the border regions and the governors of the border regions of Uzbekistan.

Authorities also discussed the electricity supply from Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan. In addition, the foreign ministers exchanged views on the current international and regional situation.
