According to the information shared by the government's press service, the possibility of launching a pilot project for the construction of a 100 MW solar power plant in Kyrgyzstan is being discussed.

It was reported that Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers Aziz Aaliyev met with a delegation headed by International Finance Corporation (IFC) Regional Director Munir Ferozi.

During the meeting, Aziz Aaliyev expressed that Kyrgyzstan is focused on the development of projects in the field of renewable energy and is interested in the implementation of a pilot project to build a 100 MW solar power plant with the help of the International Finance Corporation (IFC)," according to the government's press service. .

Munir Ferozi, spokesperson of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), stated that he is ready to cooperate in the implementation of energy projects.

It is also among the information received that after the meeting, the parties decided to establish a working group to resolve common issues.
