A series of investment agreements and memorandums were signed within the framework of the International Energy Forum on "Transforming Kyrgyzstan's energy sector into the affordable and sustainable energy of the future" held in Bishkek.
Thus, an investment agreement for the construction of a 1,000 MW power plant in the Issyk-Kul region was signed by the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Doskul Bekmyrzaev, the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev and the representative of the consortium of energy companies Zhao Zhangang (CPID company), Gu Hei Yun (CR20G company ).
In addition, a memorandum of understanding on the construction of a 200 megawatt (MW) solar power plant and hydroelectric power plant in the Issyk-Kol region was signed by Kyrgyzstan Energy Minister Doskul Bekmırzayev and Spanish energy company Ecoener Ricardo Thomas Guerrero.
