According to the news of the Kyrgyzstan Council of Ministers press service, the 10th meeting of the Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Council was held in Bishkek and it was noted that the relevant protocols were signed after the meeting.

At the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of implementing mutually beneficial projects and establishing joint ventures, further expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Intergovernmental Council instructed the authorities of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to intensify investment cooperation by creating a register of promising investment projects in priority sectors of the economy.

At the same time, the parties decided to consider the possibility of building an industrial trade and logistics complex at the Ak-Tilek (Kyrgyzstan) and Karasu (Kazakhstan) road checkpoints, as well as the creation of joint free economic zones and enterprises. The participants agreed to consider the possibility of exchanging experiences and implementing projects in the field of education and further education in the field of information technology, communication, e-government and information technology (IT), within the framework of cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies and communications.

It is also among the information that the next 11th meeting of the Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Council will be held in Kazakhstan in 2023.
