On May 11, Minister of Economy Daniyar Amangeldiev met with Minister of Treasury and Finance of Turkey Nureddin Nebati during the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current status of bilateral cooperation, the possibilities of its expansion and activation, as well as the activities of the intergovernmental commission.
The press service adds that the issues of the establishment of the Kyrgyz-Turkish development fund were considered which will contribute to strengthening trust between the countries, the development of entire sectors of the Kyrgyz economy and the creation of economic instruments for the introduction of new technologies.
"Following the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that Kyrgyz-Turkish relations will receive further progressive and fruitful development," the press service of the Ministry of Economy said.
