One of the largest industrial enterprises in Kyrgyzstan – textile factory "Textile Trans" with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) launches the first production of jeans in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service of the US Embassy on May 31, USAID handed over modern equipment to the Textile Trans company worth 8.4 million soms.

This equipment will be used for the manufacture, washing, cooking, drying and ironing of jeans clothing. For its part, the Textile Trans company invested in construction work and additional sewing equipment.

These investments will allow the company to launch the production of full-cycle jeans clothing and offer a variety of products for men, women and children, the report says.

"Last year we opened the first domestic mass market under the MENIKI brand. This year, with the support of USAID, we are launching the first of its kind production of jeans clothing in Kyrgyzstan. Our goal is to offer high—quality denim products first to local and eventually to foreign consumers," said Nurgazy Myshyev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Textile Trans LLC and Salkyn LLC group of companies.

As a result of this expansion, the company is expected to create more than 350 new full-time jobs and increase sales of its products.
