On September 2, 2022, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Vahit Kirishchi.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in the field of agriculture, in particular education and training of personnel, increasing the export of Kyrgyz agricultural products, by reducing customs duties on the main products (meat, honey, beans), etc.
In order to create a joint production for the processing of agricultural products, as well as to attract investment in the agricultural industry, Ambassador Omuraliev informed about the main directions of agriculture in Kyrgyzstan, investment opportunities and business conditions within the framework of the membership of the Kyrgyz Republic in the EAEU and about the possibilities of duty-free importation of products to the EU market, taking into account GSP+ status.
