Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev spoke about the country's investment potential in an interview with the Turkish Anadolu agency. "The value added tax is from 0 to 12%. Income tax is 10%. At the same time, there are about 107 different benefits for foreign investors," K.Omuraliev shared. The Ambassador stressed that technological equipment imported for the construction of small hydroelectric power plants and other power plants is also exempt from customs duties by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.

He recalled that Kyrgyzstan has a list of preferential types of industrial activities subject to preferential taxation in more than 30 localities of the country. "I would like to note that there is a special tax regime in the Batken region, under which the state provides guarantees to investors implementing projects there," the ambassador said. He also mentioned the zero rate of income tax, real estate tax, sales tax and land tax in the region. Another important point was the benefits for companies in free economic zones such as Bishkek, Naryn, Maymak, Karakol and Leilek.

"3-year investment visa for 125 thousand dollars"

K.Omuraliev recalled that an agreement on the prevention of double taxation exists between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, which provides for the protection and promotion of investments. The diplomat spoke about the possibility of obtaining a visa for a period of 3 years for an investor and his family members if he invests an amount of 125 thousand dollars.

"The trade turnover between our countries amounted to $507.5 million in 2020 and $835.9 million in 2021," Omuraliev said. He said that the parties are working to ensure that this year the volume of bilateral trade reaches $ 1 billion. "I invite Turkish entrepreneurs to invest and do business in our country. On behalf of the Embassy, on my own behalf, I declare that we are always ready to assist investors and assist in the implementation of projects in the Kyrgyz Republic," Omuraliev announced.
