Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bakyt Torobayev met with the President of Azerbaijan Airlines (flying under the AZAL brand) Jahangir Askerov. The parties discussed the goals and objectives of further cooperation in the field of civil aviation between the countries.
It is noted that the parties have identified specific measures to open direct flights between the capitals of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, as well as regular air cargo transportation.
In particular, following the results of the visit to Baku on March 2, the parties agreed to organize meetings of expert groups in the very near future in order to discuss in detail the technical parameters of the opening of direct passenger transportation.
The cargo flights are carried out periodically between Bishkek and Baku, but there is no consistency in their schedule.
