Kyrgyz meat producer LLC "Toro" has signed a contract for the supply of lamb meat to hotels and restaurants in Hungary. This was announced by representatives of the Hungarian company Matusz — Vad Zrt, the domestic company Toro and the National Investment Agency at a press conference in Bishkek.

The parties signed the supply agreement on April 14, Kabar agency reports. At the first stage, 20 tons of meat will be exported weekly from Kyrgyzstan, in the future the volume is planned to increase to 40 tons per week. To start deliveries, it is expected to receive the necessary permits from the EU authorities from Brussels.

"We believe that the lamb of Kyrgyz farmers is of better quality compared to New Zealand. The natural capabilities of your country and the high requirements for halal standards are proof of this," Kabar quotes the words of the director of the Hungarian company Patrick Matus.

He added that Matusz — Vad Zrt has more than 2.5 thousand partners throughout Europe, including well-known chains of restaurants, hotels, catering services and supermarkets.
